ABOUT ME
MY STORY:My name is Emilia, and I was born in Mexico City in 2007. I’ve had the opportunity to live in four different countries so far, Mexico, the USA, Italy, and Spain. This has allowed me to see the world from four completely different perspectives, immersing myself in 4 different countries allowed me to see the world with 4 different eyes. I love expressing this diversity through my photos and films. I believe life never gets boring, there’s always something, a gesture, a look, a light, a smile, a laugh, a moment, waiting to be captured.
While traveling, each of us sets a purpose or a main goal. Mine has always been to find myself in places I’ve never been before, to keep building who I am and to connect with things, people, or situations I might perhaps have never noticed otherwise. Ever since I was little, I remember having this thirst for knowledge, and today I can look back and not only talk about my experiences but also share them through my memories, eyes and visual language. If anyone feels inspired or identified through my work, I know I’ve done something well.
EXPERIENCE:I began my journey by taking different workshops and classes, both online and in person, which gave me a clear and essential foundation to understand this industry. I’ve also had the opportunity to do internships in well-known companies and to work with recognized brands. These experiences have been the place where I’ve received some of the most valuable and meaningful pieces of advice. I believe that learning through exposure is one of the best ways to grow.
